Girl Power

We are in a night routine at the moment that Daddy does reading and prayers with Kelvin before bed (when Home) and mum does it with the girls, we also have songs and milk. ( I guess Kelvin has grown out of that)

Our girls can be very cute some nights and the other night they wanted me to take there photo together in Brooke's bed for books.

They are so good together sometimes, I wish it was all the time, especially when Bek gets in her biting moods, It may be pay back because Brooke used to do that to her when she was a baby.

We also celebrated David's birthday during the week, I didn't take any photos, but he is now 31.

And with mothers day on the weekend it has been a busy time.

Zoo

Last Saturday we went to the Melbourne Zoo with David's sister Sariah, her husband Macca and kids Alyssa, Isaac and Amelia.

We wanted to go together before macca went to the US with the two older kids.

We had a great day and the cousins love being together.

Brooke's Birthday

On the 27th of April Brooke turned 4. She was very excited leading up to her birthday telling everybody that she was turning 4!!!

We didn't really have a party this year but had a family dinner which she chose and also made cup cakes to share with her friends at Kinder.

I actually had a bit of a disaster when I was cooking her cake and dinner - I was just about to place the cake pan in the oven after it had been pre heating for about 10 minutes to find that the girls had been playing and put two plastic containers in the oven. I had melted plastic everywhere, It was so toxic, so I had to clean it the best I could and air the house, and trying to not breath any fumes in. I could have killed them!!!! I felt like cancelling brooke's dinner but after a really, really good clean it was ok.

Back at Easter time David went on an overnight camp with Kelvin. They met up with a friend of our's Jeremy and a few youth boys. They had a lots of fun.

Surfers Paradise Queensland

Back in Feb david and I had a little get away for our 8 year anniversary. We went to the Gold Coast in Queensland. We missed the kids but they were well looked after by both sets of grand parents. Brooke missed us the most, we had a few calls where she would just cry into the phone, which makes your heart break, but the other two did really well, especially Bek, who I hadn't been away before.

We went to Dreamworld (amusement park) one day. We went on all the rides even the really scary ones, David wasn't to sure on some of them, But I keep saying we have to go on all of them, at least once.

Williamstown Beach

On Monday, it was a hot day so we met up with Sariah (David's sister) and her kids at Williamstown beach. we had some dinner in a park across the road and then came for a play. The kids had a grerat time, but a bit of a late night. The water was cold.

Trout Farm -17th Jan

On the 17th we took the kids to a trout farm. Kelvin got a fishing rod for his birthday so we thought we would test it out at a trout farm.
We started out at the lake, but after sitting there for about 1 1/2 hours without catch anything the kids were getting a bit restless, so we went over to the smaller ponds where there were heaps of fish. We had soon caught 4 fish. We came home and cooked it up and david created some yummy asian sauces and we shared a yummy meal with my parents.

Last saturday before we went to the Trout Farm, david needed to go to the Temple with some new members in our ward to do Baptisms. because it was on the way to the Trout farm we all went. The kids and I had a explore around the temple and went for a little walk behind the temple.
